Student visa application fees
As of October 2024, the student visa application fee will increase from NZD 375 to NZD 750, which is almost double the current fee.
International student enrollment
In 2023, New Zealand saw a 511% increase in the number of international students, with nearly 30,000 students enrolling. This was almost 90% of the pre-pandemic number.
Agency Registration Service
Education New Zealand (ENZ) launched a new Agency Registration Service to support education agencies and New Zealand schools. Registered agencies will pay an annual fee of NZD $150 plus GST to access services that will help them connect with schools and improve their operations.
